Senior Resident General Medicine

As a Physician in this role, your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive medical care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Your duties will include: - Diagnosing and treating patients with diverse medical conditions, conducting physical examinations, taking medical histories, and developing treatment plans. - Overseeing and mentoring junior residents, interns, and medical students, providing guidance on patient care and clinical procedures. - Managing medical emergencies, providing critical care support, including stabilization and resuscitation procedures. - Performing or assisting with clinical procedures like lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, and paracentesis, as well as wound care and other interventions. - Maintaining accurate patient records, progress notes, discharge summaries, and referral letters, and communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. - Participating in daily rounds, case discussions, and clinical conferences to discuss patient care, treatment plans, and research findings. - Contributing to teaching activities for medical students and junior residents, and participating in research projects in the field of general medicine. - Participating in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols. - Completing administrative tasks as assigned by the department head, such as data collection for quality assurance studies. To excel in this position, you will need the following qualifications: - Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or equivalent. - Completion of a residency program in Internal Medicine or General Medicine. - Strong clinical skills in diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment. - Commitment to patient safety and quality care. - Proficiency in medical procedures and documentation. - Experience in teaching and mentoring junior staff.,
