Senior Research Analyst/Research Analyst

Role Overview: As a Research Analyst supporting a global buy-side credit research team, your primary responsibility will be to assist in various tasks related to financial analysis and research. You will play a crucial role in supporting the team by updating financial models, conducting credit analysis, tracking earnings, and engaging with client teams to enhance research outcomes. Key Responsibilities: - Support the global buy side credit research team by building and updating financial models, including KPI-based projections, writing initiations, and identifying key risks and mitigants. - Track earnings for assigned coverage, draft concise earning notes as new financial data is available. - Conduct in-depth credit analysis of companies under coverage, including business, financial, and peer analysis, building capital structure, and preparing credit reports (annual/quarterly reviews). - Proactively track company events, such as quarterly earnings, rating & outlook updates, regulatory updates, and other industry information sources for the assigned portfolio. - Develop an understanding of operating and financial metrics relevant for any new sector in coverage. - Engage with client teams proactively and independently, suggesting and discussing new ideas on fine-tuning models and improving research outcomes and processes. - Utilize knowledge of data sources such as Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ for added advantage. Qualifications Required: - MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute, or CA / CFA is essential. - Progress towards CFA (US) would be preferred.
