Senior Quality Control Engineer (Vessel, ISO-Container)

responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality assurance processes to ensure products meet standards

• Process development:

  Design, implement, and maintain quality control systems and quality assurance plans for new and existing products.

• Inspection and testing:

  Conduct comprehensive inspections of materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

• Data analysis:

  Monitor and analyze quality data, use statistical process control (SPC) methods, and prepare reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

• Problem-solving:

  Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Cross-functional collaboration:

  Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure quality requirements are met and to resolve quality issues.

• Compliance:

  Ensure products and processes comply with industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications through audits and reviews.

• Mentorship and training:

  Train and mentor junior quality engineers and technicians on best practices.

• Supplier management:

  Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure the quality of incoming materials.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like quality, mechanical, or industrial engineering; a master's degree may be preferred by some employers.
• Several years of experience in a quality control or engineering role, potentially with experience in specific areas like software, manufacturing, or clinical research.
• Strong analytical skills for data analysis and problem-solving.
• Experience with specific tools, such as Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Leadership and team-oriented skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies
