Senior Quality Control Chemist

Role Overview: As a Senior Quality Control Chemist in Unsaturated Polyester Resin Manufacturing, your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage the quality control function. This includes ensuring that all raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products consistently meet the required quality standards. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the new plant expansion project by collaborating with various teams to provide technical data and documentation for statutory approvals and environmental clearances. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct routine analysis of incoming raw materials and maintain accurate records - Verify and approve resin properties at all stages, including final QC clearance before dispatch - Prepare and update Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) - Evaluate competitor resin samples and maintain quality benchmarks - Oversee calibration and upkeep of QC laboratory instruments - Assist in product development and improving existing formulations - Issue Certificates of Analysis (COA) for all shipments and maintain comprehensive QC documentation - Conduct laboratory trials for quality enhancement and cost optimization - Submit MIS reports covering quality performance, deviations, corrective actions, and continuous improvements In the expansion project team role, you will: - Provide product details to the Environmental Consultant for the new plant expansion project - Collaborate with project, production, and consultant teams to align QC systems with project requirements - Prepare and submit raw material compositions, product specifications, and process details for regulatory approvals - Coordinate documentation to support Environmental Clearance (EC) and other compliance requirements - Work with the Production team to finalize proposed production capacities and resin grades Qualification Required: - Education: MSc in Chemistry - Experience: Minimum 5-8 years in Quality Control within chemical/polymer/resin manufacturing - Strong knowledge of testing methods, QC protocols, and documentation practices - Exposure to EIA/Environmental Clearance documentation is an advantage Company Details: As a fast-growing chemical manufacturing company specializing in Unsaturated Polyester Resins, we offer a competitive salary and benefits.
