Senior Quality Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Develop robust, modular, and maintainable automated test scripts using WDIO. - Design, develop, and maintain an efficient and scalable automation framework. - Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Create and maintain documentation for test plans, test cases, and automation scripts. - Implement automation for both functional and non-functional testing. - Analyze automated test results, investigate and report defects with detailed information to development teams. - Communicate test progress, results, and potential quality risks to the project team. - Troubleshoot and diagnose errors and failures, perform exploratory and manual testing as needed. - Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members. - Design and execute performance testing scenarios, analyze results, and collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance. - Set up and maintain test environments mirroring production closely. - Champion and enforce best practices in quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the testing process. Qualifications Required: - In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with WebdriverIO, including commands, APIs, and features. - Strong proficiency in JavaScript, knowledge of assertion libraries like Chai, and frameworks like Mocha and Jasmine. - Understanding of REST API, page object model (POM), and design patterns. - Proficient in using browser developer tools for debugging and analyzing web page elements. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git and automated test integration into CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with tools like POSTMAN, XPath, CSS selectors, and deployment to cloud infrastructure. - Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Nice to have: - Understanding of microservices architecture, testing tools like Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber, and performance testing techniques. - Ability to work with Docker, cloud infrastructure, knowledge of OWASP Guidelines, and experience with Burp Suite.
