Senior Quality Automation Engineer

We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated technology enthusiast with around 6 years of hardcore software automation development experience to join our team. You will be responsible for developing robust, modular, and maintainable automated test scripts using WDIO, designing and maintaining an efficient and scalable automation framework, conducting code reviews, and creating/maintaining documentation for test plans, test cases, and automation scripts. Additionally, you will implement automation for both functional and non-functional testing, execute automated test suites, investigate and report defects, monitor and analyze test results, and communicate progress and potential risks to the project team. You will also identify opportunities for process improvement, troubleshoot errors, perform exploratory and manual testing as needed, mentor junior team members, design and execute performance testing scenarios, analyze performance test results, set up and maintain test environments, enforce best practices in quality assurance, and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team and the larger organization. Ideally, you should have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with WebdriverIO, proficiency in JavaScript, knowledge of assertion libraries like Chai and frameworks like Mocha and Jasmine, understanding of REST APIs, familiarity with page object model and design patterns, expertise in using browser developer tools, experience with version control systems like Git, integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with tools like POSTMAN, and deployment to cloud infrastructure. Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Nice to have qualifications include a good understanding of microservices architecture, familiarity with testing tools like Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber, ability to work with Docker and cloud infrastructure, knowledge of OWASP Guidelines and hands-on experience with Burp Suite, and familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques for web application scalability and speed assessment.
