Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Lead
Job Title : Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Lead
About the Role

Smartinfologiks is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Lead to take ownership of end-to-end testing and quality assurance for our software products and platforms. You will lead a team of QA engineers and work cross-functionally with product managers, developers, and DevOps to ensure that all deliverables meet high standards of performance, usability, and reliability.

This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on testing experience , a strategic QA mindset , and a track record of building scalable QA processes in agile product environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and team performance.

Define and implement effective manual and automated testing strategies across web, mobile, and AI-based solutions.

Collaborate with product and development teams to ensure quality is embedded in the entire SDLC.

Review and enhance test cases, test plans, and test data preparation to ensure comprehensive coverage.

Drive the implementation of automated testing frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

Identify key quality metrics (KPIs) , analyze trends, and drive continuous process improvement.

Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements, where applicable.

Take ownership of defect lifecycle management, release readiness, and final product sign-off.

Provide leadership in adopting QA best practices, tools, and emerging trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology , or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in software QA, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, STLC, and Agile practices

Proven experience in leading test teams and delivering high-quality products

Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools

Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities

Technical Skills

Manual Testing

Test Automation (Selenium, JUnit, or similar)

Performance Testing

Test Case Management Tools (TestRail, Zephyr, etc.)

Bug Tracking Tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.)

SQL for data validation

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)

Agile Scrum methodologies

Nice to Have

Experience testing AI or ML-based software modules

Knowledge of security and compliance testing (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)

Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, LambdaTest)
