1.Lead and manage the Quality Control (QC) function for structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
2.Perform thorough checking of Tekla models, GA drawings, assembly drawings, single-part drawings, and erection drawings against contract and design documents.
3.Ensure all drawings and deliverables meet AISC, OSHA, and ADA standards, as well as specific client requirements.
4.Provide technical guidance and mentoring to checkers, editors, and modelers to ensure high-quality outputs.
5.Review and verify connection design details, member sizing, and fabrication feasibility.5.Ensure that drawings and reports submitted to clients are accurate, consistent, and compliant with project specifications.
6.Develop and maintain QC procedures, checklists, and standards for the detailing team.
7.Generate and validate project-specific reports and revision logs as per client standards.
8.Coordinate with Project Managers, Team Leads, and Clients to resolve QC comments efficiently.
9.Responsible for ensuring that all QC activities are completed within schedule and quality targets.
1.7-10 years of total experience in structural steel detailing, with a minimum of 3-4 years in QC checking or management.
2.Proven expertise in Tekla Structures software (modeling and checking).
3.Strong working knowledge of AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction), OSHA, and ADA standards.
4.Hands-on experience with US-based structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
5.Solid understanding of fabrication and erection practices, including tolerance, connection, and material standards.
6.Ability to lead a QC team, review outputs, and implement quality improvement initiatives.
7.Excellent attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills.
