Senior Qa Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to prepare test

suites Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test

cases

• Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Debugging and monitoring
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Liaise with internal teams as and when required
• Supporting all the products and services
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
• Perform manual testing, regression testing bug testing and automation with adherence to our QMS.
• Study APIs implementation, perform impact analysis.
• Building API test strategy and reporting solutions. Test planning / Test execution and Reporting. Support the QA team to identify, scope and document the test plan for each release based on its specifications.
• Collaborate with the Engineering and Product teams to drive operational efficiency and product success.
• Evaluate and report on results of the Agile Teams to determine and demonstrate that business needs are being met.
• Report defects, performance metrics, install and upgrade issues with an eye for detail on the front end, back end, log files and database.
• Report test results and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the process.
• Maintain test environments and test data. Prioritizing scope for automation teams based on current and future strategic projects.
• Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing. Support rewriting outdated tests and determinate what coverage needs augmenting.
• Be instrumental in transforming manual regression suite into automation suite by

collaborating with automation team.

• Identifying automation scope and working with automation team to prioritize the tasks and deliver in sprint automation.
• Work with automation horizontal to bring in in-sprint automation.
• Help in advancing the QA teams policies, processes and tools. Identify the tools

required for successful test reporting, management, and automation. Educate the QA team on how to use those policies, processes and tools

Preferred candidate profile

ech Stack and Tools:

• UNIX / LINUX and Windows.
• Agile (SCRUM), JIRA, Zephyr

Eligibility:

• Bachelor & or Master& Degree in Engineering or equivalent

• Must be a strong team player

• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Hands on experience with UNIX

• Hands on experience in python and scripting is an added plus.

• Good written and communication skills

• Experience in FIX, Capital Markets, Trading systems is plus
