Senior Python Developer

As a Python Developer in innovative Global Operations DevOps team, you will develop diverse applications designed to automate daily operations and streamline datacenter activities. These applications will be utilized by operational teams and will interact with a comprehensive IT stack, encompassing technologies ranging from network devices and storage systems to web servers and various other critical datacenter components.

Your day-to-day:

• Develop, test, and maintain scalable applications in an existing team of developers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and create new features.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback for junior profiles in the team.
• Play an important role in the technical analysis of the software that will be developed.
• Proactively suggest improvements and new solutions.
• Maintain and improve the functionality of our existing software products.
• Follow the teams coding standards and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4+ years of development experience using Python.
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and MVC design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL). Experience with NoSQL database technologies (eg. MongoDB, ) is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservice architecture.
• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
• Ability to understand complex architectures taking non-functional requirements into account like security, performance, scalability.
• Pro-active problem-solving attitude and willingness to take initiative.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and with cross-functional teams & departments.
• Adaptability and openness to learning new technologies & methodologies.
• Familiarity with infrastructure components is a plus
