Senior Python Developer

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst position is a senior-level role that involves implementing new or updated application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. Your main responsibility will be to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. You will work closely with various management teams to ensure the integration of functions to achieve goals and to identify and define necessary system enhancements for deploying new products and process improvements. You will tackle high-impact problems/projects by evaluating complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards. Your expertise in applications programming will be crucial in ensuring that application design aligns with the overall architecture blueprint. As a Technology Lead Analyst, you will need to have a deep understanding of system flow and develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards. Additionally, you will need to develop a comprehensive knowledge of how different areas of business integrate to achieve business objectives. Your role will also involve providing in-depth analysis to define issues and develop innovative solutions. You will be expected to serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, assigning work as needed. It is essential that you appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, with a focus on safeguarding Citigroup and its assets by ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations. To qualify for this role, you should have 9-15 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis. Additionally, you should be a highly skilled senior core python developer with extensive experience in software building and platform engineering. Proficiency in core python concepts and libraries such as pandas, numpy, and scipy is required, along with a solid understanding of OOPs concepts and design patterns. Strong computer science fundamentals and experience with Unix-based operating systems are also necessary. Having hands-on experience in writing SQL queries, familiarity with source code management tools, and experience in the banking domain are considered advantageous. A CFA/FRM certification is also a plus. Your educational background should include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a preference for a Master's degree.
