Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy robust backend systems and RESTful APIs using Python and Flask.
• Lead the architecture and integration of secure, scalable payment gateway solutions.
• Implement tokenization methods to ensure PCI-DSS compliance and enhance data security.
• Work collaboratively with product managers, designers, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members to uphold engineering best practices.
• Ensure high system performance, scalability, and reliability across backend services.
• Investigate and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Stay updated on backend technology trends and payment industry standards.

Must-Have Skills

• 4 to 8 years of backend development experience with a strong emphasis on Python.
• Proficiency in Flask (or equivalent frameworks such as FastAPI).
• Solid experience with payment gateway integration (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Adyen).
• In-depth understanding of payment processing workflows, security protocols, and compliance standards.
• Expertise in tokenization and encryption techniques.
• Strong grasp of RESTful API design, authentication, and authorization (OAuth2, JWT).
• Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
• Experience in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools.
• Knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in FinTech or handling high-volume transaction systems.

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
