Job Description

Summary:

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:
Develop and execute purchasing strategies for major raw materials to minimize costs and secure supply.
Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers; manage and continuously develop the performance of the existing vendor base.
Negotiation & Contracts:
Lead high-stakes negotiations on pricing, payment terms, and long-term contracts to ensure the best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Technical Compliance:
Ensure all purchased materials and components comply with required technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards (e.g., those related to the company's ISO 9001:2015 certification).
Inventory Control:
Collaborate with Production and Stores to forecast material needs and maintain optimal inventory levels, balancing lead times with cost.
P.O. Management:
Oversee the entire Purchase-to-Pay cycle, utilizing ERP/SAP systems for efficient order processing, tracking, and reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:
5+ years of progressive procurement experience in the manufacturing, engineering, or metal fabrication industry.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or Engineering.
Core Expertise:
Deep knowledge of procurement principles, cost analysis, and contract negotiation.
Technical Insight:
Ability to understand technical specifications for materials used in precision components like fittings and valves.
Systems:
Proficiency with ERP/SAP or similar procurement management software.
Leadership:
Strong analytical, communication, and team coordination skills.
