Job Description

Role Overview: As a CSA Cost Management Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accuracy, predictability, and strategic insight in Civil, Structural, and Architectural cost management. Your responsibilities will involve leading CSA estimating efforts, preparing detailed estimates, managing financial processes, engaging with clients, and collaborating with internal teams for integrated estimating solutions. Your daily tasks will include reviewing design documents, preparing quantity takeoffs, mentoring estimators, and continuously improving estimating processes. Key Responsibilities: - Lead CSA estimating efforts from conceptual design through subcontracting, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations. - Prepare detailed estimates, variance summaries, and value engineering studies to support decision-making. - Review design documents to produce reliable quantity takeoffs and enable effective cost management. - Manage bidding process, integrate schedules and models, and create cost models for new pursuits. - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on CSA estimating matters and build client relationships. - Manage and mentor a team of estimators and engineers, conduct performance reviews, and provide technical coaching. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated estimating solutions and contribute to standardizing workflows and best practices. - Pilot and implement innovative workflows and tools to improve estimating outcomes. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field. - 5-10 years of experience in CSA estimating with exposure to commercial, healthcare, data center, or life sciences projects. - Strong proficiency in quantification/estimating tools such as Revit, CostX, OST, Planswift, Assemble, or equivalent. - Demonstrated ability to design and improve processes in estimating workflows. - Strong leadership, communication, and client engagement skills. - Ability to balance technical depth with people leadership and customer relationship management.
