Job Overview

TeachEdison is seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic team. Based in Coimbatore and offering hybrid, remote, and freelance employment types, this senior-level position requires a minimum of 7 years and up to 10 years of relevant work experience. You will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience across our flagship EdisonOS product.

Qualifications And Skills

• Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience as a Product Designer, demonstrating a robust portfolio of delivered projects with a focus on innovation and usability.
• Proficiency in UX Design (Mandatory skill), with a proven ability to translate complex user needs into intuitive experiences through structured methodologies.
• Advanced skills in Figma (Mandatory skill), enabling efficient wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity design handoffs within collaborative settings.
• Strong expertise in wireframing (Mandatory skill), with the ability to rapidly conceptualize and communicate design ideas for iterative feedback and validation.
• Thorough proficiency in UI Design, emphasizing consistency, scalability, and accessibility across product interfaces for diverse user groups.
• Experience in prototyping, utilizing tools and techniques to validate hypotheses and iterate on user flows before development stages.
• Competence in conducting user research, leveraging qualitative and quantitative inputs to inform and shape evidence-based design solutions.
• Expertise in mapping user journeys, identifying pain points and opportunities to deliver seamless, end-to-end product interactions.
• Knowledge in developing and maintaining design systems, ensuring cohesion, efficiency, and maintainability across a growing suite of digital products.
  

Roles And Responsibilities

• Lead product design initiatives for EdisonOS, shaping the end-to-end user experience through hands-on design execution and strategic guidance.
• Create and deliver wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design vision and facilitate effective development handoff.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define problems, explore solutions, and validate design directions.
• Plan and conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys, to ground designs in user needs and business goals.
• Analyze user flows and map customer journeys to identify friction points and drive continual product improvements.
• Contribute to and evolve our design system to uphold standards in consistency, accessibility, and scalability across the platform.
• Track and analyze design performance metrics, iterating on solutions to deliver measurable improvements in user satisfaction and engagement.
• Mentor junior designers by sharing best practices, knowledge, and fostering a culture of feedback and continuous learning within the team.
