Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Substantial proven experience withserver management

Linux

SAN's arrays, NetApp arrays/Filers

Proficient inshell

distributed infrastructure monitoring systems

Perl, Bash, Python

TCP/IP protocols, firewall management, and database administration

data base management systems such

infrastructure system documentation

operational processes and tasks

CFEngine, Puppet, Kickstart

Cloud architecture

Nice to have familiarity with voldemort, zookeeper, hadoop, kafka, storm

Work in a shift based schedule (excluding night shifts).

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent degree/diploma
5-7 years of full-time relevant experience
Working technical experience with installing, configuring, and supporting storage servers and management software.
Good understanding of storage architecture design techniques, theories, principles, and practices.
Demonstrated ability to organize a project in logical, efficient steps (work breakdown structure)
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required.
Redhat Linux administration certification will be a plus.
Spent 18 months or more at their current workplace
