Position Overview:

As a Senior Network Engineer (L3) with expertise in Aruba and Cisco Meraki wireless technologies and firewall administration, you will be a key member of our network engineering team. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and advanced troubleshooting of our enterprise-wide network infrastructure, with a specific focus on wireless and security. This is a hands-on, expert-level role that requires a deep understanding of network protocols, a proactive approach to problem solving, and the ability to lead complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Wireless Network Management:

• Serve as the subject matter expert for Aruba and Cisco Meraki wireless solutions.
• Design, deploy, and manage wireless networks, including Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba Central, Cisco Meraki access points, and the Meraki Dashboard.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting for complex wireless issues, including RF interference, client connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks.
• Configure and manage wireless security policies, guest access, and network segmentation using technologies like Aruba ClearPass and Cisco Meraki's built-in security features.
• Conduct site surveys and heat-map analysis to ensure optimal wireless coverage and performance

Firewall & Security Management:

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls from major vendors (e.g., Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
• Develop and implement security policies, access control lists (ACLs), NAT rules, and VPN configurations (Site-to-Site, Remote Access).
• Monitor and analyze firewall logs and traffic flows to identify and mitigate security threats.
• Collaborate with the security team to implement best practices and respond to security incidents.

Network Infrastructure & Operations:

• Provide expert-level (L3) support for network incidents, leading root cause analysis (RCA) and resolution efforts.
• Perform complex configurations and upgrades on network devices, including switches (Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Aruba), routers, and wireless controllers.
• Manage and support enterprise-level routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, VSS/VPC).
• Utilize network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Aruba AirWave, Meraki Dashboard) to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and runbooks
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical network emergencies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on L3 support.
• Expert-level knowledge of Aruba wireless networking, including Aruba Mobility Controllers and Aruba Central.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki wireless and the Meraki Dashboard.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Deep understanding of core networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, etc.).
• Experience with network access control (NAC) solutions like Aruba ClearPass or Cisco ISE is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Ansible) is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Relevant industry certifications are highly preferred (e.g., Aruba Certified Mobility Expert (ACMX), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE), Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)).
