Senior Network Security Engineer

As a Senior Network Security Engineer at Barry-Wehmiller, your role is crucial in planning, designing, optimizing, implementing, auditing, and troubleshooting the network security to enhance the protection and efficiency of the organization. Your responsibilities include: - Planning and implementing security measures to safeguard the enterprise IT environment from cyber-attacks, hacking, intrusion, and natural disasters. - Identifying and analyzing security gaps in both on-premises and cloud network environments. - Participating in implementation and integration projects, overseeing secure configuration and installation of infrastructure devices. - Designing secure remote access practices and assisting in network segmentation. - Developing, optimizing, and maintaining security standards, processes, and policies. - Participating in the lifecycle management of security tools and investigating intrusion incidents. - Testing the security level of the enterprise through penetration tests and vulnerability assessments. - Implementing and maintaining NAC configurations using Cisco ISE and advocating for best cybersecurity practices within the organization. Key Qualifications for this role include: - Expert knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto firewalls, and other vendor firewalls. - Proficiency in Cisco ISE, routing, switching, and Cisco Meraki. - Understanding of SASE/SSE products like Netskope or Zscaler. - Strong logical ability, problem-solving skills, and effective communication. - Ability to work independently, troubleshoot networking systems, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Experience in network security with relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in a network security engineer role.
