Description
You will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the organization's global network systems, including software, hardware, and respective provider services. As part of this role, you will interact with users as a third level of escalation to the Corporate IT Support team. Your duties will include providing remote troubleshooting and fault finding when issues occur. Additionally, you will design and implement network solutions to meet the organization's needs, such as the layout of network infrastructure, installation and configuration of network devices, and implementation of network services (LAN/WAN, wireless, and telecommunications). Your key responsibilities will include: - Monitoring and maintaining network performance to ensure smooth and efficient operation - Implementing and maintaining network security measures to protect data and systems - Working closely with other IT professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the network - Managing network-related projects, including planning, execution, and delivery - Ensuring that the network infrastructure complies with industry standards and regulations - Providing input on ways to improve stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment - Developing and maintaining detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and changes - Providing training and support to users and IT staff on network-related issues - Being on call/standby duties - Performing any other duties as assigned In terms of qualifications and required experience, you should have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a similar relevant field. A minimum of 4 years of experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance in a large-scale environment is necessary. Additionally, professional certifications such as CCNA (required) and CCNP (desirable) are beneficial. Strong technical skills in networking protocols and network security practices are also required. Other beneficial qualifications include experience in IT projects related to large company acquisitions/mergers, proficiency in network security practices, and experience with various networking equipment and technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Cloud providers like Azure/AWS. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate effectively, work collaboratively in a team, and deliver under pressure will be essential for this role. Additionally, you must be willing and able to travel, work after hours, and weekends when required.
