Job Description

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain MySQL database systems
Optimize performance, manage capacity & security
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
Write and maintain scripts, stored procedures & triggers
Ensure data integrity and support backup & recovery
Create physical & logical data models
Collaborate with development teams to meet technical & business requirements
Provide 24x7 on-call support (rotation-based)
Mentor junior DBAs and enforce best practices

Must-Have Skills

6+ years in DB Engineering with 4+ years in MySQL
Strong SQL performance tuning & optimization
Experience with Linux OS and networking basics
Scripting skills: Shell, Python, or Perl
Exposure to NoSQL technologies
Hands-on with database architecture & monitoring.
