Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Medical Officer - Claims/Cashless based in Chennai. The Medical Officer will be responsible for reviewing health insurance claims, assessing medical records for accuracy and authenticity, verifying policy coverage, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and coding standards. The role also involves identifying potential fraudulent claims, coordinating with hospitals and internal teams, and providing clinical inputs for process improvements. Close collaboration with provider networks and claims investigation teams is essential to ensure quality and efficiency in claims processing.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid certifications.
• Strong knowledge of clinical practice and treatment protocols.
• Proven experience in claims processing or health insurance is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Prior experience in TPA or Health Insurance sector is Must.
