Senior Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education:

  Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)

• Experience:

  8–13 years in Mechanical Design Engineering, specifically in

  Water, Wastewater Treatment, and Desalination projects

• Software Proficiency:

  AutoCAD, Navisworks, Microsoft Office Suite

• Language:

  Fluency in English (verbal and written) is mandatory

Technical Knowledge & Expertise:

• Strong knowledge of

  API 650 Design Engineering Code

• Familiar with

  ASME B31.1

  and

  ASME B31.3

  piping codes
• Sound understanding of

  OSHA standards

  for platforms and handrails
• Proficient in the

  selection of flanges, fittings, and materials

  based on pressure and temperature ratings
• Skilled in

  vendor document review

  for static and rotary equipment, valves, and piping components
• Experienced in

  P&ID mark-up, pipe routing, supports, operation & maintenance access, and clash detection

• Capable of reviewing existing plants, preparing

  equipment layouts, piping GAs, isometrics, and MTOs

• Experienced in reviewing and finalizing

  Bills of Materials (BOM)

• Ensures

  efficient and accurate production of project deliverables

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage mechanical design activities from concept to completion
  
• Prepare and validate

  design calculations, technical data sheets

  , and engineering drawings
• Participate in

  project planning

  , including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
• Handle

  change management

  effectively throughout project execution
• Design and select

  piping systems, materials, flanges, and fittings

  in line with project specifications
• Prepare

  piping material specifications

  for metallic, non-metallic, and lined piping systems
• Conduct

  technical bid evaluations (TBE)

  for piping items, valves, and equipment
• Review and approve

  as-built drawings

  and documentation
• Lead and mentor a team of

  Mechanical Engineers, CAD Designers, and 3D Modelers

• Ensure

  QA/QC adherence

  and compliance with industry standards and client requirements
• Coordinate with

  clients, subcontractors, and vendors

  to ensure project alignment and timely execution
• Foster strong client relationships and contribute to

  business development

  initiatives
