Senior Mechanical Engineer

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with 10+ years of proven expertise in product design and development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Design and manufacturing processes including plastics, sheet metal, machining, and casting. Strong proficiency in CAD systems, particularly Creo and Windchill.

Design & Development

• Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and engineering analysis to validate design concepts
• Develop prototypes and manage design iterations from concept through production
• Perform DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate potential design risks

Manufacturing & Process Engineering

• Design for manufacturability considering plastics, sheet metal, machining, and casting processes
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure production readiness and cost optimization
• Specify materials, tolerances, and fabrication processes based on application requirements
• Review part designs with focus on good manufacturing practices and DFA principles

Technical Analysis & Documentation

• Perform engineering calculations and basic structural analysis using first principles and FEA
• Conduct hand calculations for design verification and validation
• Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, BOMs, test plans, and engineering reports
• Manage product data and configuration through Windchill PLM system

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, procurement, and project management
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Present designs and technical solutions to stakeholders and management
• Liaise with suppliers and conduct design reviews
