Senior Manager/Manager - Indirect Taxation

As a Manager / Senior Manager Indirect Taxation at our organization based in Nagpur, you will play a crucial role in overseeing GST compliances, managing litigation, handling notices, and collaborating with consultants and authorities. With 7 to 9 years of experience as a Chartered Accountant (CA), you will lead end-to-end GST compliance by ensuring timely and accurate filing of GST returns, managing audits, assessments, queries, and responses to notices and summons. Your responsibilities will also include handling GST litigation by drafting replies, coordinating with consultants, and representing before tax authorities when necessary. Monitoring GST reconciliations, providing advisory on GST implications for business transactions, supporting audits related to indirect taxation, and keeping the team updated on changes in tax laws will be essential parts of your role. You will be expected to develop and implement internal controls and processes to enhance tax compliance, while collaborating with various departments to ensure tax efficiency and correct tax treatment of transactions. The ideal candidate for this role is a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 7 to 9 years of post-qualification experience in indirect taxation. You should possess a strong understanding of GST law, procedures, and litigation processes, along with experience in managing audits, show-cause notices, and appellate proceedings. Exposure to the manufacturing/FMCG industry will be advantageous, and proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems, particularly SAP, is preferred. Excellent drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills are also key requirements for this position.
