In this role as a Senior Manager - Technical Project Management at American Express, you will have the opportunity to work in partnership with Engineering and Product Management teams to manage the execution and delivery of software to the market. Your role will involve leveraging technical understanding to ensure executional certainty and using agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan and manage deliver solutions effectively. Your contributions will help define the future of American Express. **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Understand the team's technical platforms and applications. - Handle and track status, progress, and critical metrics related to the plan, and publish progress reports to senior partners. - Raise visibility around gaps, impediments, risks, and dependencies, ensuring impediments are tracked through to resolution. - Work with integrated teams to deliver solutions in support of key product initiatives by collaborating with multiple product managers, agile champions, architects, developers, and quality teams. - Facilitate Agile events and ceremonies to help the Engineering team deliver value incrementally and iteratively. - Coach teams to embrace the Technology SDLC process, Agile values, principles, and practices. - Monitor progress and impact over time by tracking, identifying, and improving delivery effectiveness metrics while increasing agile maturity. - Coach leaders, teams, and Product Owners in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets. - Promote compliance with SDLC standards across the team. **Minimum Qualifications:** - 8+ years of Project Management Experience using Agile methodologies. - 5+ years of Technical Project/Program management experience, Program/Project Manager, and/or 5+ years relevant Technical Program Management experience required. - Preferably a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline. - Experience building high trust and credibility across the organization through deep domain knowledge of the business. - Strong facilitation and communication skills. - Ability to effectively interpret Technical and Business objectives and support the team in delivering. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Good to have knowledge of any programming language Java/.Net or Python. - Functional knowledge of Global Supplier Management. - Knowledge of Generative AI, prompt engineering, and ability to use AI in project/program management.
