Job Description

Plan and execute production based on indents from Domestic, Tender and International Business.
Coordinate with PPC and Purchase teams to achieve targets by maintaining appropriate inventory at in-process and raw material stores.
Oversee production processes for Sutures, Mesh, Clinicel, Skin Stapler, Umbilical Cotton Tape, Endo Surgery products, Kits, Truloop, Wax, Arthroscopy, new products, samples and new codes.
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure timely delivery and achieve organizational goals.
Ensure production execution aligns with the approved plan and drive overall production realization.
Actively contribute to corporate projects on innovation, cost savings, new product development, technology transfer and scale-up from pilot to commercial production.
Assess, streamline and optimize work schedules and manpower utilization to enhance productivity.
Successfully conduct QMS and customer factory audits, ensuring readiness at all times.
Collaborate with Purchase for new vendor development in packaging, printing, raw materials and packaging materials.
Support Sales and Marketing by providing samples for tenders and customer requirements on time.
Regularly update the Plant Head on production status, challenges and resolutions.
Conduct weekly review meetings between Production, Purchase, Dispatch (Domestic & International) and Stores teams.
Investigate customer complaints and implement CAPA effectively.
Promote and implement automation initiatives in production processes for efficiency and scalability.
Ensure compliance with QMS audits (ISO 13485, ISO 9001, USFDA, CE Mark, CDSCO, statutory audits and customer inspections).
Drive training and development of managers, officers and team members in new product development, QMS, safety and audit preparation.
Ensure compliance with EHS and ESG guidelines, maintaining safety across processes, machinery, personnel and products.
Ensure timely batch closure both physically and in ERP (SAP).
Plan and execute timely production of in-house raw materials.
Review and authorize BMR, artwork and needle requirement approvals.
Ensure effective utilization of manpower, materials and machines to achieve production efficiency.

Qualifications

B.Sc./M.Sc., B.Pharm/M.Pharm or Diploma/Degree in Engineering.
13 to 16 years of experience in production, preferably in medical devices, sutures or related manufacturing industries.
