Senior Manager - EHS

As the Senior Manager of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) at our API manufacturing site in Dewas, your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS strategies to ensure regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and environmental sustainability. You will play a crucial role in identifying high-risk and hazardous reactions on-site, conducting qualitative risk assessments, and focusing on the safety of API powder handling processes with low MIE values. Your key duties will involve ensuring the safety of contractor personnel, operational safety during the handling of hazardous chemicals, and conducting process safety reviews to bridge any existing gaps progressively. Additionally, you will be responsible for emergency response team preparedness, strengthening and monitoring the existing PTW system, and ensuring compliance with EHS inspections and observations. To foster an improved EHS culture at the site, you will conduct regular counseling and training sessions, oversee workplace monitoring for various parameters, and ensure timely reporting and investigation of any accidents or incidents. It will also be your responsibility to maintain compliance with statutory requirements, conduct IMS audits, and assist in the upgrading of the safety management system at the site. Your interactions within the organization will primarily involve Cluster Head, Head of API Global, Process Head Engineering, and Regional Engineering Head. The geographical scope of your role will be as per the Dewas site. To qualify for this position, you should hold an M.Tech or Master's degree in Environmental Science, along with a substantial experience of 18-20 years in the API/Chemical field. Candidates with previous experience as Safety & EHS Head in the API/Chemical industry will be preferred.
