Senior Manager - Civil Design We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager - Civil Design to lead and oversee the civil engineering design aspects of our solar energy projects. This pivotal role involves managing a team of engineers, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead and mentor a team of civil design engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide technical guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of design projects. Design Oversight Oversee the preparation and review of civil engineering designs, including site layouts, grading, drainage, and structural foundations for solar installations. Ensure designs comply with local codes, regulations, and industry best practices. Project Management Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of design solutions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and procurement departments, to align design efforts with overall project objectives. Quality Assurance Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of design documents. Conduct regular design reviews and audits to identify and mitigate potential issues. Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure design requirements are met and approvals are obtained. Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and presentations to stakeholders. Continuous Improvement Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to incorporate innovative solutions into design practices. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the design team. Qualifications & Experience Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Certifications : Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in designing infrastructure for renewable energy projects, preferably solar energy systems. Technical Skills : Proficiency in civil design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, and hydrology as they pertain to solar installations. Soft Skills : Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Preferred Attributes Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Knowledge of environmental sustainability practices and their integration into civil design. Familiarity with international design standards and codes.
