Job Description

You will be responsible for leading the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, including aligning demand forecasts with supply plans, financial targets, and business strategies. You will develop and refine forecasting models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to generate accurate demand forecasts. Additionally, you will oversee inventory levels across various channels to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory while optimizing working capital. Collaborating with sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams is essential to gather market intelligence and ensure alignment on demand plans. You will also lead a team of demand planners, focusing on continuous improvement and analytical excellence. Reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) and forecasts accuracy to senior leadership will be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will conduct market analysis to enhance forecasting accuracy and identify growth opportunities. - Lead the S&OP process to align demand forecasts with supply plans, financial targets, and business strategies - Develop and refine forecasting models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques - Oversee inventory levels across all channels to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather market intelligence and ensure alignment on demand plans - Mentor, train, and manage a team of demand planners - Develop and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and reports on forecast accuracy, inventory health, and demand trends - Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to enhance forecasting accuracy and identify growth opportunities - 5-10 years of experience in a similar field - Proficiency in advanced statistical forecasting techniques and software like SAP APO, Anaplan, Fountain9, or similar - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Proven leadership and team management capabilities - High proficiency in MS Excel and data visualization tools The company, Pilgrim, founded in 2019 by IIT-B and IIM-A Alumni, is one of the fastest-growing Beauty & Personal Care brands offering 250+ SKUs across various categories.
