Senior Manager Data Science (AI Center of Excellence)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy

  AI/ML algorithms

  for commercial insurance and risk management use cases.
• Develop solutions leveraging

  Generative AI, LLMs, advanced transformers, multimodal models (image, video, text), and neural networks

  .
• Mine and analyze structured/unstructured data to derive insights, optimize processes, and implement business strategies.
• Deploy and manage

  API-based AI solutions

  on AWS and integrate them into enterprise platforms.
• Contribute to the

  design and development of enterprise data architecture

  and analytics platforms.
• Stay updated with

  emerging AI/ML research

  and apply new approaches to strengthen company's analytics capabilities.
• Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with technology teams to retrain, optimize, and enhance deployed models.
• Consult with senior stakeholders on financial/statistical analyses and AI-driven solutions.
• Build

  statistical and econometric models

  from scratch to support new product development and enhance current offerings.

What Were Looking For

• Education:

  Masters degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.

• Experience:

  7+ years in Data Science, AI/ML, or applied research (insurance or banking industry experience is a plus).

• Technical Expertise:

• Strong proficiency in

  Python

  (NumPy, Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, SQL).
• Hands-on with

  Hugging Face libraries

  and modern model architectures.
• Proven experience in

  training, fine-tuning, and deploying advanced AI models

  (LLMs, computer vision, multimodal RAGs).
• Experience with

  AWS cloud services

  for AI/ML deployment.
• Strong foundation in

  mathematics, statistics, stochastic, and econometric modeling

  .
• Familiarity with

  data visualization tools

  (Plotly, Dash, D3.js).
