Senior Manager, Cloud Site Reliability Engineering

In this role at LSEG, you'll be joining the Site Reliability Engineering Team within Cloud Productivity & Engineering (CPE) as a Senior Manager, Cloud SRE reporting directly to the Director for SRE. The team focuses on building, developing, and supporting the Azure cloud platform to accelerate the time-to-market of innovative finance products. Your responsibilities will include: - Engaging in designing, developing, and building complex cloud services and capabilities. - Working alongside architects, developers, and other engineers to ensure efficient Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zone platforms. - Actively involving in decision-making areas such as observability, networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, and governance. As a candidate for this role, you are expected to have the following essential skills: - Previous experience leading and mentoring Cloud teams/Communities of Practice. - Proven leadership skills, capable of building and managing technical teams/communities of practice. - 8 plus years experience in designing, developing, and implementing cloud and hybrid Azure/AWS/GCP Platform solutions. - Deep knowledge in setting up Azure/AWS/GCP Enterprise Scale Landing Zones and hands-on experience with Microsoft's Cloud Adoption Framework. - Familiarity with Azure/AWS/GCP cloud native components. - Demonstrable experience with CI/CD pipelines. - Experience working in Agile environments, with a demonstrable experience of Agile principles, ceremonies, and practices. - Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps, and Gitlab. - Excellent planning and communications skills, able to lead conversations with development and product teams. Preferred skills and experience include: - Proven track record working in agile environments. - 8 years hands-on experience with Windows/Linux Servers. - Proactive incident management with Azure/AWS/GCP-based troubleshooting. - Sound understanding of financial markets. Education and professional skills required for this role: - Relevant Professional qualifications. - BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related STEM degree. In addition to the technical responsibilities, you will also be expected to: - Lead and guide multiple communities of practices, including Lead Platform Engineering managers and platform engineers. - Define key features and platform enhancements needed to keep pace with business demand and own the product backlog. - Engineer and optimize hybrid Azure Platform solutions, focusing on compute, network, storage, monitoring, security, and automation. - Collaborate with Lead Platform Engineering Managers, architects, and other stakeholders in the implementation and future development of Azure Landing Zone platforms. - Provide deep technical expertise in IT operations areas, such as networking, virtualization, identity, security, compliance, and governance.
