The Senior Manager, Business Development will be part of the Revenue & Acceleration organization at Qualys, responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs). This role plays a critical part in driving global pipeline generation and conversion, enhancing the buyer and trial experience, and ensuring close collaboration with Sales and Sales Leadership across regions.The Sr. Manager will oversee and continuously improve the systems, tools, and workflows that power the BDR organization - including lead management, click-to-chat, and trial engagement processes. This role ensures the seamless qualification of trials, RFIs, demos, and event-driven requests while optimizing technology and automation to increase speed, visibility, and conversion. Success is measured by the team's ability to enhance and exceed pipeline targets, streamline operations, and accelerate revenue growth through sales partnership.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a global team of 20 BDRs focused on full inbound and outbound coverage, driving world-class lead engagement and pipeline execution to accelerate revenue.
- Enhance trial adoption and conversion by refining outreach strategies, improving speed-to-lead, and personalizing user engagement.
- Develop and implement an enablement and training plan that supports ongoing learning, readiness, and sales effectiveness.
- Partner closely with Sales and Sales Leadership to align on qualification criteria, pipeline forecasting, and priorities.
- Collaborate with Marketing on lead volume, events, routing, and messaging to ensure quality engagement and increased conversion rates.
- Coach and develop team members through structured career progression plans, mentorship, and performance reviews.
- Establish a strong operating rhythm of one-on-ones, team meetings, and cross-functional syncs to drive consistency and accountability.
- Leverage CRM data and technology tools to optimize processes, click-to-chat workflows, and reporting for maximum performance and visibility.

- Proven success leading global Business Development teams and driving measurable pipeline growth and performance.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics and optimize lead flow for efficiency and impact.
- Demonstrated ability to partner closely with Sales Leaders and Executives to align on strategy, performance goals, and pipeline acceleration.
- Exceptional communication across a global business, coaching, and leadership skills to build and develop high-performing, motivated teams.
- Prior quota-carrying sales experience is a plus, demonstrating firsthand understanding of deal progression and sales dynamics.
