Senior Manager - Accounts Receivable

About the Role:

Role & responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Receivable function, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• Develop and implement AR policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize bad debt.
• Lead and mentor a team of AR professionals, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment.
• Conduct regular aging analysis and reconcile AR accounts to the general ledger.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and legal teams to resolve complex customer billing and collection issues.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., IND AS) and company policies.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations related to Accounts Receivable.
• Drive process improvements and leverage technology to enhance AR automation and reporting.
• Prepare and present AR reports and key metrics to senior management.
• Manage credit risk assessments and establish credit limits for new and existing customers.

Preferred candidate profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
• 7-9 years of experience in Accounts Receivable management, with significant experience in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in the e-commerce industry is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of Accounts Receivable accounting principles, revenue recognition, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of auditing processes and internal controls related to AR.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
