Senior Major Incident Manager with Banking / Finance Domain

As a Senior Major Incident Manager in the Banking/Finance Domain at FIS, your role will involve leading and coordinating the incident response team during critical service disruptions. You will be responsible for ensuring all service level agreements are met, making quick decisions about escalation and prioritization, and managing the incident timeline and actions taken. Additionally, you will be expected to provide regular status updates to leadership, coordinate with external vendors if needed, and develop and maintain incident management procedures and playbooks. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and coordinate the incident response team during critical service disruptions - Ensure all service level agreements are met, including 24x7 availability - Make quick decisions about escalation and prioritization - Properly document incident timelines and actions taken - Manage the bridge call or incident war room - Provide regular status updates to leadership and affected business units - Coordinate with external vendors or third-party providers as necessary - Develop and maintain incident management procedures and playbooks - Ensure incident response plans are up-to-date and regularly tested - Train team members on incident response procedures - Review incident patterns to identify systemic issues - Implement preventive measures in collaboration with other teams - Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity exercises - Recommend process improvements based on lessons learned - Update documentation and procedures based on experience Qualifications Required: - 7-11 years of experience in Major Incident Management for UK/US clients - Hands-on experience in the Banking/Finance Domain - Ability to manage global incidents across multiple data center environments - Strong communication and analytical skills - Willingness to work 24/7 including night shifts - Ability to multitask effectively Additional Company Details: FIS offers a multi-faceted job with a broad spectrum of responsibilities in a modern international work environment.
