Senior Magento Backend Developer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain Magento-based e-commerce websites, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Customize and extend Magento functionality through custom module development and third-party integrations.
• Optimize website performance by implementing best practices for caching, indexing, and database optimization.
• Conducted code reviews and provided constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on the user experience.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in e-commerce to continuously improve our development processes and solutions.
• Should know about upgrading the Magento version as well as upgrading the installed modules.
• Should be able to transfer a site from one server to another.
  

Technical Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on Magento.
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong understanding of Magento architecture, including modules, themes, and extensions.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with one or more additional e-commerce platforms, preferably Shopify or Shopware.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interact with team members and clients
