Job Purpose / Summary:

The

Senior Liferay Developer / Architect

is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing

enterprise-grade portals and web applications

using

Liferay DXP

. This role demands strong expertise in

Java and Liferay frameworks

, advanced integration capabilities, and leadership skills to mentor junior team members while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the
design, development, and customization
of Liferay-based portals, themes, portlets, hooks, and extensions.
Configure and tailor Liferay DXP to align with project and business requirements.
Integrate Liferay with external systems using
REST
,
SOAP
, or custom APIs.
Perform
performance tuning
, troubleshooting, and optimization of Liferay applications.
Participate in
code reviews
and enforce best practices in coding and design.
Collaborate with
UI/UX
,
backend
,
DevOps
, and
QA
teams to ensure seamless delivery.
Prepare
technical documentation
, deployment plans, and assist in
User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
.
Mentor and guide
junior developers
, fostering technical growth and best practices.
Stay updated with the latest
Liferay features and versions
to propose effective architectural solutions.

workflows

staging environments

Hands-on experience with
application servers

Tomcat
