Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel

Role Overview: As a Senior Legal & Compliance Counsel at our client, a leading global healthcare company based in Mumbai, you will be responsible for providing legal and compliance leadership within a multinational environment. Your expertise will be crucial in areas such as contract negotiation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation, and data privacy. You will have the opportunity to lead centralized legal support functions and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Provide legal counsel and guidance on a wide range of legal and compliance matters. - Lead contract negotiation processes to ensure favorable outcomes for the company. - Oversee corporate governance practices and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. - Manage litigation matters effectively to protect the company's interests. - Implement data privacy measures to safeguard sensitive information. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal and compliance issues. - Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance at all times. Qualifications Required: - India-qualified lawyer with 11-14 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house experience. - LL.B from a reputed institution; LL.M/CS qualification is a plus. - Strong expertise in contract negotiation, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation, and data privacy. - Prior experience in multinational companies, especially in pharmaceuticals or manufacturing, is advantageous. - Experience in leading centralized legal support functions is highly desirable.
