This position is located in Australia and offers a competitive salary of AUD$155,403 to $178,290 per annum along with 17% superannuation. You will be employed on a full-time continuous (permanent) basis at Kensington, Sydney, Australia. As a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW, you will play a crucial role in teaching and research within the field of Nuclear Engineering. Collaborating with the Nuclear Innovation Centre, you will be responsible for developing a globally recognized research program in Nuclear Engineering and contributing significantly to the educational programs of the School and Faculty. The focus of this role is on teaching and research in nuclear engineering, specifically in areas such as nuclear thermal hydraulics, multi-physics modeling, and nuclear engineering design. Your expertise in experimental or theoretical nuclear research will drive innovation in the field, enhance educational offerings at UNSW, and help establish the university as a leader in nuclear engineering education and research. Reporting directly to the Head of School, this position does not involve managing direct reports. This opportunity allows you to be part of a vibrant community at UNSW, where thoughtful, practical, and purposeful work is valued. If you are seeking a career that offers challenges, meaningful work, and opportunities for growth, UNSW is the right place for you. The School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at UNSW is renowned for its excellence in research and teaching. With a mission to groom students into industry leaders who create societal, economic, and environmental benefits, the School is a leading institution in Australia. It houses thriving research programs in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics, and Mechatronic Engineering, and consistently ranks high globally for its academic contributions. The UNSW Nuclear Innovation Centre is a pioneering initiative dedicated to advancing Australia's nuclear science industry. Launched in February 2024, the Centre fosters collaborations across disciplines and industries, with a focus on areas such as medicine, irradiated materials, waste management, space exploration, and mining. By bringing together experts from diverse fields, the Centre aims to drive innovation, develop a skilled workforce, and cultivate future leaders in the nuclear technology sector. To excel in this role, you are required to hold a PhD in a related discipline such as nuclear engineering, thermal hydraulics, reactor physics, or nuclear materials. Your experience should demonstrate the ability to develop and deliver new content in nuclear engineering, engage in curriculum development, and support students from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, a commitment to staying updated on discipline knowledge, a passion for educational excellence, and a track record of high-quality research outcomes are essential. If you believe you have the qualifications and passion for this academic role, we encourage you to apply by submitting your CV, Cover Letter, and systematic responses to the Skills and Experience requirements through the provided application portal. Even if your experience does not align perfectly with the stated criteria, we welcome your application and look forward to hearing from you.,
