Senior Java/Kotlin developer

As a Senior Java/Kotlin Developer in this 12-month Contract role based in Gurgaon with a complete night shift schedule starting at 7:30pm IST, you will be responsible for designing scalable and robust technical solutions end-to-end. With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 6 years of experience, you will demonstrate proficiency in Java using Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React. Your role will involve working with modern frontend build and test tooling such as Webpack, ESlint, Cypress, Jest, Babel, NPM/Yarn, as well as relational databases. You will be responsible for consuming, developing, and integrating Web applications and APIs (REST, GraphQL, Apollo) while ensuring unit testing with JUnit, Mockito, and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Jenkins, Git, GitHub). Being familiar with Kotlin and Agile methodologies is essential for this role, along with possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should also have a B2+ English level (written and spoken) to facilitate daily communication with the team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop scalable, robust, fault-tolerant software systems using tools like Kafka, Splunk, DataDog, and AWS. You will provide hands-on technical leadership, participate in architectural decision-making, and advance the team's design methodology and quality programming practices. Guiding junior team members through standard methodologies, anticipating and preventing problems, and continuously improving software and development processes with the Agile development team will be key responsibilities. Additionally, you will be expected to research and advocate for industry standards and best practices in development methodologies, techniques, and technologies to ensure the continuous enhancement of software and development processes.,
