Senior Java Software Engineer

As a motivated and experienced senior software engineer, you will be joining our growing technology team to work on the full lifecycle of features/products in a dynamic product engineering environment. Your role will primarily focus on back-end development using Java to build/enhance our data integration platform and contribute to microservices and REST APIs. This position offers remote work flexibility with occasional onsite visits. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement efficient web services and backend systems using the Java stack - Develop external facing REST APIs following best practices - Enhance and maintain data synchronization systems that integrate with Product partners - Drive projects from initiation to completion, and provide support post-delivery - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product roadmap delivery - Participate in technical discussions and contribute to system architecture and evolution - Promote the adoption of new technologies and incorporate them into existing systems - Troubleshoot development and production issues across multiple applications Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field - 8+ years of experience in building backend applications using Java technologies - Proficiency in Spring Boot - Understanding of microservices architecture - Strong grasp of REST design principles - Experience with Kafka or other message brokers - Proficient in database design, including relational and NoSQL databases with complex query optimization - Experience with MySQL and a NoSQL database like MongoDB - Familiarity with AWS or other cloud service providers - Agile team player with knowledge of software development lifecycle - Proactive, adaptable to agile environments - Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in small to medium startups at various growth stages - Familiarity with Spring Batch and Spring Cloud Data Flow is a plus - Exposure to containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes) is beneficial - Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., CircleCI, Jenkins) and best practices If you are excited about this opportunity, apply now or send your profile to hr@200oksolutions.com.
