Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled

GeoSpatial Senior Developer

with strong expertise in

Core Java, Spark, and AWS

technologies. The ideal candidate will have

6 9 years of experience

developing scalable geospatial applications and real-time data processing systems. This role involves leveraging

Kafka, SQL, Spark Streaming, and Scala

to design and implement high-performance data pipelines and analytics solutions that support cutting-edge geospatial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain
geospatial applications
using
Core Java
and
Apache Spark
technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and implement
scalable data solutions
on
AWS
.
Utilize
Kafka
for
real-time data streaming
, ensuring seamless data integration and processing.
Write and optimize
SQL queries
for high-performance data retrieval and schema management.
Implement and maintain
Spark Streaming
pipelines for
real-time geospatial data processing
.
Develop
data transformation and analytics logic
using
Spark in Scala
.
Ensure
code quality, scalability, and maintainability
through best practices and code reviews.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance issues across geospatial applications and data pipelines.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative, innovative development culture.
Stay current with emerging
geospatial, data engineering, and cloud technologies
to enhance solution capabilities.
Contribute to
technical documentation
, design specifications, and user guides.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
Participate in
Agile development cycles
, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with
Core Java
and
Apache Spark
(including Spark Streaming and Spark SQL).
Expertise in
AWS services
(EC2, S3, Lambda, EMR, Glue, etc.) for data and application deployment.
Proficiency in
Kafka
for
real-time data streaming and integration
.
Solid understanding of
database design
,
SQL performance tuning
, and
data modeling
.
Proficient in
Spark with Scala
for distributed data processing and analytics.
Experience working with
geospatial data and tools
(GIS, shapefiles, coordinate systems) is a strong plus.
Familiarity with
CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools
, and version control (Git).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

Experience with
geospatial frameworks
such as
GeoTools, PostGIS, or Esri
.
Knowledge of
Python
for data scripting or API integrations.
Exposure to
containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
and
IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
.
