Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced

OnlyOffice Engineer

with strong hands-on expertise in deploying, configuring, and managing OnlyOffice services within cloud service

AWS compliant environments

. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of OnlyOffice Document Server (selfhost) setup, securing and hardening configurations, disabling non-compliant features, optimizing server performance, and ensuring the platform meets strict pharma standards. This role requires a technical professional with a solid understanding of secure server architecture, administration, and application-level security controls.

Key Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and maintain
OnlyOffice Document Server (self-host)
and related components in cloud service AWS compliant environments.
Perform
secure installation
and environment hardening (network, OS, and application layers).
Configure and disable OnlyOffice features or modules that do not meet pharma compliance requirements.
Tune and optimize OnlyOffice server parameters for performance, scalability, and security.
Integrate OnlyOffice with existing systems, storage, authentication, and access-control frameworks.
Ensure compliance with
pharma controls
, including data handling, encryption, logging, and access restrictions.
Conduct regular audits and apply security patches, updates, and configuration changes.
Troubleshoot OnlyOffice performance issues, service outages, and configuration errors.
Work closely with Security, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to maintain end-to-end compliance and availability.
Document deployment steps, configuration settings, operational procedures, and security controls.

Qualifications

Required Skills Qualifications

24 years of hands-on experience working with OnlyOffice
, especially in deployment and advanced configuration.
Strong experience with
OnlyOffice Document Server installation, configuration, and customization
.
Expertise in hosting and securing applications in cloud service
AWS compliant environments
.
Proficiency in
Linux server administration
(Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, etc.).
Experience in
reverse proxies and SSL termination
(NGINX, Apache, HAProxy).
Strong understanding of
network security, encryption protocols, firewalls
, and secure configuration practices.
Ability to fine-tune OnlyOffice configurations for performance and compliance.
Familiarity with
Docker-based deployments
or
Kubernetes
-based setups.
Experience integrating OnlyOffice with collaboration platforms, storage, and authentication (JWT).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting Self Host enterprise environments with strict compliance controls.
Knowledge of DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, containers).
Understanding pharma compliance frameworks is a plus.
