You will be joining Epsum Labs as a Senior Industrial Automation Engineer, contributing significantly to the evolution of the company from a System Integrator to an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Your role will involve product development, system design, and project execution. Here's what you can expect: - **Product Development & Improvisation:** - Collaborate closely with R&D teams to enhance both hardware and software for automation. - Provide valuable insights on industrial automation applications to ensure practical and efficient product design. - Conduct testing and validation of automation products under real-world industrial conditions. - Define product features, optimize control algorithms, and enhance system architectures. - **Project Execution & System Integration:** - Design, program, and commission PLC, SCADA, and HMI solutions using platforms like Siemens, Rockwell, or ABB. - Develop automation strategies, control logic, and communication protocols. - Lead turnkey automation projects to ensure seamless integration with industrial processes. - Collaborate with clients and internal teams to translate requirements into functional automation solutions. - **Technology Innovation & Optimization:** - Implement cutting-edge IIoT, Edge Computing, and Industry 4.0 solutions into automation products. - Optimize automation workflows for higher efficiency, reliability, and scalability. - Stay informed about emerging automation trends and propose enhancements for in-house products. - **Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:** - Create technical specifications, test procedures, and user manuals. - Mentor junior engineers and provide insights into product functionality and best automation practices. - Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project and product lifecycle management. **Required Skills & Qualifications:** **Technical Skills:** - Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems from Siemens, Rockwell, or ABB. - Strong knowledge of OPCs, control system architecture, automation logic, and industrial networks. - Experience with industrial protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, OPC UA, and Ethernet/IP. - Hands-on experience in IIoT, databases, and cloud-based automation. - Capability to define and optimize control logic, PID loops, and motion control for automation products. - Exposure to hardware design validation, panel integration, and product testing. **Soft Skills:** - Innovative and problem-solving mindset for product and system enhancements. - Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. - Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across R&D and project teams. - Efficient task management in a fast-paced development environment. **Education & Experience:** - Bachelor's/Masters degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering. - 4-8 years of experience in industrial automation with practical product development involvement.
