Join our Akamai Data Services team The Data Services team comprises collaborative, inclusive, and creative individuals. They build reliable, scalable cloud-native services using Akamai Cloud, a highly distributed edge platform. Partner with the best You will develop and manage systems collecting telemetry for next-generation cloud platforms. Collaborate within a cross-functional team to design, deploy, and maintain services supporting numerous Akamai users. As a Software Engineer Senior II, you will be responsible for: Participating in designing, developing, improving, operating, and automating observability solutions for Akamai Cloud services. Following modern DevOps practices, building new services, or enhancing the existing ones Testing, profiling, and monitoring code performance Diagnosing system performance and reliability together with the team of Site Reliability Engineers Partnering with product owners, development, and test groups to create rapid cycles of feedback and improvement Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: 8+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or its equivalent Collaborate and effectively communicate with multidisciplinary teams to solve technical and business challenges Have advanced knowledge of Web technologies, distributed systems, and modern observability Have an understanding of the development, management, and deployment of highly scalable cloud-native applications Have experience in programming and automating processes using modern programming languages Have experience with developing software in GNU/Linux or Unix environment Demonstrate experience with working with Internet protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL Work in a way that works for you Learn what makes Akamai a great place to work Connect with us on social and see what life at Akamai is like!
