Job Summary:

• The Senior Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer is responsible for executing engineering design across various project phases to meet project requirements in instrumentation and process automation. The role involves supporting proposal activities with the Design Manager, including understanding project scope and schedule, deliverable finalization, and effort estimation.
• This position requires strong multidisciplinary coordination and understanding of operational processes, working closely with cross-functional teams within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple projects as a Lead Design Engineer for LSC and FAB projects.
• Execute project tasks across Concept, Basic, and Detailed Engineering phases.
• Ensure compliance with DES Quality System during project execution.
• Prepare project reports including QC Plans, Progress Trackers, and Defect Trackers.
• Develop deliverable lists, design deliverables, and perform internal reviews to ensure quality.
• Ensure timely delivery of project deliverables as per schedule.
• Plan and forecast resource requirements.
• Coordinate with Host, Design Managers, and discipline leads to resolve inter-disciplinary issues.
• Participate in technical/vendor meetings and discussions.
• Review vendor documents and provide comments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and technically compliant project delivery.

Technical Competencies:

• Preparation of Concepts / Design Basis across engineering phases.
• Design, selection, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation solutions.
• 3D Model review based on SPM scope.
• Preparation of installation details, schematics, typical drawings, and hook-up drawings.
• Preparation of instrument specifications and data sheets.
• PCS (DCS / PLC), SCADA, IBMS, BMS / EMS system design.
• Knowledge of OSI Layer model and Fieldbus network design.
• Preparation of schedules, I/O lists, and instrument index.
• Knowledge of local and international engineering codes and standards.
• Understanding safety, environment, risk assessment, and HAZOP.
• Familiarity with ISA, IEC, ATEX, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, cGMP, 3A, EHEDG.
• Experience in ELV systems (LSS, IT/Telecom, CCTV, PA).
• Review and evaluation of vendor bids and preparation of technical bid evaluations.
• Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks (advantage).
