Senior Frontend Engineer

As a Front End Developer at Pocketpills, you will have the exciting opportunity to completely own the design and delivery of the UI layer, making you a strong contributor to the product vision and driving team planning. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing new user-facing features using Angular, building reusable components and front-end libraries with a focus on applying functional programming concepts. You will be tasked with translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code, optimizing components for maximum performance across a wide range of web-capable devices and browsers, and building for scale and high performance. In this role, you will be expected to promote strong collaboration within a cross-functional team that includes design and product management. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and coach junior team members, helping them grow and develop their skills in front-end development. To be successful in this position, you should have a minimum of 4 years of front-end development experience and a solid grasp of design patterns with the ability to translate design into low-level code. You must demonstrate a strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model, as well as HTML and CSS. A deep understanding of modern web application design architecture, good API design patterns, performance, and scale is essential. Experience in modern technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Flutter, Node.js, GQL, Next.js, and Chrome extension development will be beneficial. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, data structures libraries, RxJS, modern front-end build pipelines and tools, visualization libraries, and working with large dataset driven analytical applications is desired. Your ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements will be crucial in this role. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up mode environment and have experience handling and coaching teams effectively.
