Senior Finance Specialist - GA

Role Overview: You will be responsible for managing day-to-day GL accounting requests from the business teams and handling ad hoc requests related to monitoring Service Now and Blackline tasks. Additionally, you will assist in the overall book closing activities. Key Responsibilities: - Perform general accounting activities using techniques and standards for classifying and recording financial transactions, with hands-on experience in SAP S4/Hana. - Provide limited advice on accounting matters based on established principles and practices. - Conduct quality checks on financial reporting data, including variance analysis. - Assist in developing and implementing processes and procedures, continuously optimizing them for efficiency and productivity. - Ensure and assist with reconciliations and related activities (Trin-tech, Blackline, and SNOW requests). - Assist with data gathering and basic financial analysis to ensure the integrity and accuracy of reporting (R2R) (HFM / Tagetik). - Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to classify and record financial transactions. - Execute assigned accounting analyses and reports. - Comply with and help achieve Internal Control over Financial Reporting (Ico FR) compliance in the General Accounting team for applicable templates, participate in internal control testing, and prepare relevant documentation. - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity by taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business. Qualifications Required: - Semi qualified CA, B.Com, MBA, or related discipline. - Minimum 1-3 years of experience. - Analytical abilities, strong motivation for delivering on time, and ability to work under pressure. - Good work discipline and communication skills with an understanding of finance/accounting. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
