Job Description

As an experienced finance professional, you will be responsible for leading and managing all costing functions across the organization. Your role will involve driving cost accuracy, optimization initiatives, system improvements, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. You will lead and mentor a team of cost accountants and finance professionals, ensuring their development, performance management, and capability building. Defining the strategic roadmap for cost optimization aligned with overall business goals will be a key responsibility. Serving as a finance business partner to plant heads, supply chain leaders, and senior management, providing financial insight and guidance on cost-related matters will also be part of your role. Your duties will include reviewing and approving costing methodologies, assumptions, and updates for product costing, pricing strategies, and investment decisions. Overseeing the implementation of costing controls, internal checks, and system automation to strengthen governance will be essential. You will represent the costing function in senior leadership meetings and cross-functional forums and participate in CAPEX evaluations, margin analysis, and product profitability reviews. Driving change management initiatives, especially around SAP upgrades, system automation, and reporting enhancements will be expected from you. Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes with accurate cost inputs and financial modeling will also be part of your responsibilities. You will enhance existing cost accounting systems and reporting tools to improve transparency and efficiency while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies related to costing and inventory valuation. To qualify for this role, you should have a graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification such as ICWA/CA is preferred. You should have a minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in costing and financial planning within the manufacturing industry and a proven track record in implementing and managing cost control systems in a production environment. Key competencies for this role include a strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, variance analysis, and manufacturing finance practices. Proficiency in SAP S/4 HANA, Power BI, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for financial modeling and forecasting are essential, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across departments. Proficiency in local languages and English, both written and spoken, will be necessary to facilitate effective communication with employees and stakeholders. As a team player with the ability to collaborate across functions, you will play a crucial role in driving cost optimization and financial efficiency within the organization.,
