Senior Finance Executive

The Finance Specialist Record to Report position is a highly visible role at Equiniti providing the right individual with plenty of exposure to senior stakeholders. The right candidate should be able to deliver best in class reconciliations, bank transaction clearances, challenge the business and be able to demonstrate what a good reconciliation looks like, as well as hold people accountable for the process

Core Duties/Responsibilities

• Expertise in areas like Deferred Revenue, Accruals, GRNI, Revenue accounting, Prepaid accounts.
• Independently handling Cost accrual process, recharge process, Intercompany process.
• Active involvement in complex accounting questions and transactions (e.g. cost allocations, fixed assets, accruals, BS cleansing, etc.)
• Audit & Compliance - Supporting Entity Audit - Internal & Statutory audit support and completion.
• Investigate and ensure resolution of discrepancies within BS reconciliations through follow up on open items.
• Understand and prepare complex reconciliations and action on unreconciled items.

Education / Qualifications:

Semi Qualified /MBA Finance / Master degree / Bachelors degree in commerce from an accredited university.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in core Accounting.
• Prior experience of working in an offshore Finance SSC.
• Excellent accounting knowledge across Record to Report functions and be a SPOC for specific areas of the RTR tower.
• Financial accountancy experience including UK GAAP & US GAAP within multi-national organisation. Should have experience in handling US books of accounts.
• Working knowledge of Workday is a must requirement.
• Experience in using Blackline / other Reconciliation tools.
• Experience of working in Audit / Control functions.
• Experience in establishing RACMs / Control matrix.
• Understanding of SOX requirement (preferable).
