SENIOR EXECUTIVE - PURCHASE

As a Procurement Manager specialised in the engineering industries, your role involves developing a purchasing strategy, reviewing and processing purchase orders, managing other team members, maintaining records of goods ordered and received, negotiating prices and contracts with suppliers, and building strong relationships with vendors. You will also be responsible for selecting prospective vendors, negotiating contracts, evaluating vendors based on quality, timeliness, and price, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring timely fulfilment of orders. Additionally, you will research and evaluate vendors to compare pricing and services, coordinate with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs, ensure the quality of procured items, and address any problems that may arise. It is essential to keep up with trends in procurement, travel to vendor locations, stay current with purchasing technology trends, and oversee purchases and implementations when necessary. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, any degree with relevant experience in engineering industries, and 5-10 years of experience in procurement.
